How fun...we had never been on the base - Fort Huachuca. Now we have not only been on the base we have run a windy, hilly and beautiful course on an Army base known for its communications school and its "Buffalo Solider" history.
An intimate race with less than 90 runners. This race is a deal with a t-shirt , medal and the honor to run with active duty soldiers. By supporting this race it allows active duty solidiers to run for free.
We stayed the night in Sierra Vista at a Rodeway Inn on Friday night. Most likely where family of service peole might stay it was reasonable nightly rate and had a full kitchenette with all the amenities. All except they don't do wake up calls...HA! Only 3 miles from the start of the race it was convienent and comfortable.
With ten year age groups we were still able to place. We understand there will be photos from the race at the 11th Signal Brigade - Face book page. Check them out.
